President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Uz Amjad Musthafa as President of the Employment Tribunal.

Uz Amjad was sworn into office during a ceremony at the President's Office on Tuesday morning, where the oath was administered by Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Hameed. President Dr Muizzu later presented him with his letter of appointment.

Holding a Bachelor's degree in Shariah and Law and a Master of Business Administration (MBA), Uz Amjad has extensive experience in the legal and public administration sectors. He previously served as President of the Employment Tribunal in 2020 and has also been a member of the Minimum Wage Advisory Board.
