Egypt's Non-Resident Ambassador to the Maldives, Adel Ibrahim, paid a farewell call on President Dr Mohamed Muizzu today at the President's Office.

During the meeting, President Dr Muizzu commended Ambassador Ibrahim for his efforts to strengthen bilateral relations during his tenure. He also thanked the Government and people of Egypt for their longstanding friendship, particularly for providing scholarships to Maldivian students and the contributions of Egyptian medical professionals serving in the Maldives.

President Dr Muizzu reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening cooperation with Egypt and expressed confidence that collaboration in culture, tourism, education, security and defence would continue to expand. Both sides also reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the longstanding friendship between the Maldives and Egypt.
