The Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) has begun the Maldivians Travelling Abroad Survey 2026 at the arrival hall of Velana International Airport. The survey, which runs from 25 to 31 July 2026, gathers information on travel destinations, purpose of travel, expense arrangements, airfare costs, and spending during the trip.

MMA said no personal information is being collected and that all responses will be used solely for statistical purposes.
