The air ambulance service has facilitated over 700 trips, providing critical care to more than 800 patients since its inception in March of the previous year.

The Ministry of Health announced on X that since its launch on March 1, 2024, the air ambulance service has completed more than 700 missions, delivering emergency care to 804 patients. Designed to create a dependable and enduring medical transport system, the service operates round-the-clock, extending lifesaving assistance to even the most remote regions of the country.

Equipped with 15 trained health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and emergency medical technicians, the service underscores the importance of providing comprehensive healthcare support.

The service, a collaboration between the Ministry of Health, Island Aviation, and the National Social Protection Agency (NSPA), highlights the Government’s commitment to enhancing healthcare accessibility.
