President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has announced that island development projects will be implemented according to public wishes during his visit to R. An'golhitheemu, as part of his ongoing tour of North Maalhosmadulu Atoll.

Speaking at a meeting with residents, the President revealed plans to initiate a 20-year master development plan for the island, emphasising that all development initiatives would align with the community's vision.

The President stated that development projects would be implemented in a way that people could experience tangible results, whilst seeking public cooperation for the initiatives. He further stressed the importance of understanding local needs through direct community engagement.

President Dr Muizzu reiterated his commitment to working closely with island communities, noting that his Administration's goal was to achieve development objectives that reflected public aspirations.
