President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has confirmed that the nationwide project to air-condition classrooms in all schools across the Maldives will be completed by end of September 2025.

During his visit to Hulhudhuffaaru in North Maalhosmadulu Atoll, President Dr Muizzu shared that the project is progressing smoothly, with all classrooms in the country set to be air-conditioned within six to eight months.

The initiative is a key part of the Government's ongoing efforts to enhance education and provide a more comfortable environment for students.

In addition to the education-focused project, the President assured residents that stalled projects in Hulhudhuffaaru, including coastal protection, road development, and harbour improvements, will be accelerated and completed within the next two years.

As part of his visit, agreements were signed between the Hulhudhuffaaru Council and both the Bank of Maldives (BML) and Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) to launch ATM services from each bank on the island, enhancing banking access for the local community.

President Dr Muizzu reaffirmed his Administration's commitment to delivering on pledges made during his campaign, with an emphasis on fast-tracking vital public service projects across the country during the year.
