The foundation for the new council secretariat building in Raa Kinolhas has been officially laid.

The groundbreaking ceremony was led by the Minister of Cities, Local Government, and Public Works, Adam Shareef Umar, as part of President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu's ongoing visit to the atoll.

The Kinolhas council secretariat building is part of a Government initiative to construct 55 modern council offices across the country. The project is being undertaken in partnership with Hexter Global, a Malaysian company entrusted with managing the development of these facilities.

In addition to Kinolhas, foundation stones have already been laid in three other islands. This initiative aims to ensure that Councils are equipped with the resources they need to deliver efficient services to their communities.
