President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has dismissed speculation of a rift between himself and Abdul Raheem Abdulla, Speaker of the People’s Majlis and Chairperson of the People’s National Congress (PNC).

Speaking at a press conference at the President’s Office on Saturday, President Dr Muizzu said there were no issues between the two, rejecting recent rumours and affirming that their friendship remains unchanged.

Responding to a journalist’s question, the President described the claims as baseless and said their professional relationship continues without disruption.

President Dr Muizzu also addressed the recent dismissal of Ibrahim Faisal as Minister of Tourism, saying the decision was made as it was the most appropriate course of action at the time.
