MMPRC announces partnership with Farah Khan

The Maldives Marketing and Public Relations Corporation (MMPRC/Visit Maldives) has unveiled a new partnership with prominent Indian filmmaker, choreographer, and television figure, Farah Khan.

India remains one of the Maldives’ most significant source markets, and this campaign forms part of Visit Maldives’ strategy to engage high-profile personalities and brand ambassadors to enhance the destination's visibility globally.

Farah Khan, whose career in the Indian entertainment industry spans over two decades, is widely recognised for her blockbuster films and iconic dance choreography. With a combined social media following exceeding 13 million, particularly among Indian and South Asian audiences, Farah is considered an influential figure whose reach and relatability resonate strongly with families and leisure travellers.

As part of the collaboration, Farah visited the Maldives from 5th to 8th June 2025, coinciding with Eid Al-Adha celebrations. The visit involved filming a dedicated vlog aimed at capturing the vibrancy of local island life and the festive atmosphere during Eid. She was accompanied by a five-member production team and hosted at Sun Siyam Olhuveli and Arena Hotels Maafushi.

The campaign will feature a YouTube vlog and additional digital content highlighting her experiences in the Maldives. Emphasis is placed on showcasing the country beyond its well-known luxury resorts, drawing attention to its local communities and cultural authenticity.

The  content aims to establish a deeper emotional connection with viewers, particularly those from the Indian market, by spotlighting traditions and festive celebrations.
