President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has begun an official eight-day visit covering 31 inhabited islands across Vaavu, Meemu, Faafu and Thaa Atolls.

The tour will see the President meet with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees to discuss development priorities, while also engaging directly with residents to understand community needs and concerns.

The itinerary includes five islands in Vaavu Atoll: Fulidhoo, Thinadhoo, Felidhoo, Keyodhoo and Rakeedhoo, and five in Faafu Atoll: Feeali, Bileiydhoo, Magoodhoo, Dharan’boodhoo and Nilandhoo. In Meemu Atoll, he will travel to Dhiggaru, Maduvvari, Raiymandhoo, Veyvah, Mulah, Kolhufushi, Naalaafushi and Muli. His visit to Thaa Atoll will cover 13 islands, including Buruni, Vilufushi, Madifushi, Dhiyamigili, Guraidhoo, Kan’doodhoo, Vandhoo, Hirilandhoo, Gaadhiffushi, Thimarafushi, Veymandoo, Kin’bidhoo and Omadhoo.

This island tour continues President Dr Muizzu’s effort to visit all atolls of the Maldives and meet with councils at island, atoll and city levels.

The President’s most recent atoll visit was to Haa Dhaalu in August.
