Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has officially started handing over apartments built under the Gedhoruveriya housing scheme, marking a major milestone in one of the Maldives’ largest social housing projects.

The first keys were presented on Sunday at a ceremony in Aman Udhares Tower 14, where FDC Managing Director Hamdhaan Shakeel personally handed the inaugural set to a new homeowner and unveiled the Aman Handbook, a guide for incoming residents.

Online key-handover scheduling began on September 11, and residents can now collect keys every working day between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. through the FDC portal. The corporation will share specific dates and instructions via the portal to help manage the moving process and reduce congestion.

Each apartment is being delivered with full utilities, including electricity, water, and sewerage. and FDC has introduced a booking system to allow residents to arrange delivery of large furniture and store items in designated areas during their move.

Tenants are required to sign agreements and pay a MVR 25,000 down payment before receiving keys. The initiative covers 4,000 units across Hulhumalé, beginning with Aman Udhares Tower 14 and continuing tower by tower in the coming weeks.
