President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has commenced his official visit to inhabited islands in Alifu Dhaalu Atoll.

During the visit, the President will travel to ten islands: Dhan’gethi, Dhidhdhoo, Omadhoo, Dhigurah, Maamigili, Mandhoo, Fenfushi, Hangnaameedhoo, Mahibadhoo, and Kun’burudhoo.

While in the atoll, President Dr Muizzu is scheduled to meet with Island Councils, Women’s Development Committees (WDCs), and representatives of local institutions to discuss development priorities and community concerns. He will also engage directly with residents to hear their views and assess local needs.

The President is accompanied by Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key Government agencies.

This visit forms part of President Dr Muizzu’s initiative to meet councils and communities across all atolls of the Maldives. His most recent tour was an eight-day trip covering 31 inhabited islands in Vaavu, Meemu, Faafu, and Thaa Atolls.
