Three members have been appointed to the Maldives Media and Broadcasting Commission.

The newly appointed members by Parliament are Safa Shafeeq, Aminath Sarahath Izzath, and Mohamed Farusath.

Comprising seven members in total, the Commission includes three appointed by Parliament and four representing broadcasters and other media outlets. 

The four members elected to represent broadcasters and other media sectors were officially appointed on 13 October 2025.

The Maldives Media and Broadcasting Commission is responsible for overseeing the regulation and development of the country’s media and broadcasting sector.
