President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has embarked on a two-day tour of inhabited islands in Lhaviyani and Kaafu Atoll, as part of his wider nationwide outreach initiative.

During the visit, the President will hold meetings with Island Councils and Women’s Development Committees (WDCs) to discuss local development priorities and explore measures to improve community wellbeing. He is also expected to meet residents to gain first-hand insight into their concerns and expectations.

The itinerary includes visits to four islands in Lhaviyani Atoll, Naifaru, Hinnavaru, Kurendhoo, and Olhuvelifushi, followed by visits to Kaashidhoo, Dhiffushi, and Thulusdhoo in Kaafu Atoll.

This tour forms part of President Dr Muizzu’s commitment to strengthening direct engagement with atoll, island, and city councils to accelerate development across the Maldives.

Cabinet Ministers and senior officials from key government institutions accompany the President.
