The Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation (FDC) has connected electricity to three additional towers of Aman Udhares in Hulhumalé Phase II.
According to FDC, power has now been supplied to Towers 11, 12 and 13, with water services expected to be completed within the next week. The corporation noted that the handover process for these towers is currently underway.
The Aman Udhares project consists of 2,304 flats across 16 towers and is considered one of the country’s major housing developments. The handover process began in September last year, and FDC has since handed over several units to their rightful owners.
As part of the Government’s efforts to make housing more affordable, a rent subsidy scheme has been introduced for tenants who make timely payments. Under the scheme, monthly rent will be MVR 9,000 for three-bedroom apartments and MVR 7,000 for two-bedroom units, compared to the previous rates of MVR 13,000 and MVR 9,000 respectively.
