Police tow 47 vehicles in Hulhumalé in road safety operation

The Maldives Police Service has towed 47 vehicles in Hulhumalé over the past two days as part of ongoing efforts to improve road safety and maintain public order.
According to police, the operation targeted vehicles parked in a manner that obstructed traffic or posed safety risks. Of the 47 vehicles towed, 38 were removed for illegal parking, eight for being operated without a valid licence, and three for reckless or dangerous driving and other offences.
In addition, 18 vehicles, including 16 motorbikes and two cars, were issued fines during the operation.
The Police Service stated that these enforcement measures are part of ongoing efforts to enhance safety and ensure proper use of public roads in Hulhumalé.
