First Lady Sajidha Mohamed has inaugurated Health Expo 2025, a nationwide awareness event organised by the Ministry of Health. The expo, held at Central Park in Hulhumalé, aims to promote healthy living, disease prevention, and wellness education among the public.

Before officially opening the event, the First Lady toured the exhibition area and visited the various stalls set up by participating institutions. According to the Ministry of Health, more than 50 stalls have been established by hospitals, clinics, non-governmental organisations, and regional health facilities from across the atolls. The exhibits showcase initiatives to build a healthier society, provide information on health services, and offer screenings, consultations, and educational opportunities for those pursuing careers in healthcare.

The Ministry also announced that a special children’s evening will be held during the expo, featuring health check-ups, nutrition awareness activities, and recreational programmes. In addition, dedicated booths will offer mental health information, advice on healthy eating, and services for expatriates. Health Expo 2025 will run on the 13th, 15th, and 16th of this month, bringing together partners from across the country to encourage community-wide engagement in public health and wellbeing.
