The Maldives Police Service (MPS)’s Gang Crime Suppression Department (GCSD) has carried out an extensive security operation in Male’ over the past 48 hours. 

During the operation, officers conducted 501 searches with 129 interactions to maintain public safety.

Officers inspected 10 vehicles, towed four for violations, and conducted 840 minutes of foot patrol across key areas of the capital. The initiative also involved engaging with the community and monitoring for suspicious activity.

According to the MPS, such proactive measures are part of ongoing efforts to combat gang-related crime and ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
