The Department of Inclusive Education has launched a new national initiative to strengthen teachers’ capacity to deliver skills-based programmes in Maldivian schools. Titled “Enhancing Teachers’ Capacity for Skill-Based Programs through National Trade Testing Certification,” and inaugurated by State Minister of Education Dr Ahmed Mohamed, the programme supports educators from 26 schools in developing practical, competency-focused teaching methods. The programme is implemented under the THAIBA Project and funded by the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) with UNICEF as the grant agent.
