President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed five members to the Tax Appeal Tribunal, following the expiration of the previous members’ terms.

The appointments were made on 29 November 2025 under Section 56(a)(1) of Act No. 3/2010, in accordance with Section 11(a) of the Tax Administration Act.

The appointments come as the tenure of the previous five members concluded, requiring the Tribunal to be reconstituted for the next term.

The Tax Appeal Tribunal, established under the Tax Administration Act, is responsible for hearing and adjudicating tax-related disputes submitted by taxpayers and relevant authorities. The newly appointed members will now assume their duties in overseeing appeals and ensuring due process in tax administration matters.
