A cold storage and fish processing facility, along with a modern fishing port, will be developed in Raa Atoll, Kandholhudhoo, under a new Government fisheries project awarded to 3 Way Enterprises Private Limited.

The agreement was signed on Saturday evening during the National Fishermen’s Day ceremony held in Raa Dhuvaafaru. Fisheries and Ocean Resources Minister Ahmed Shiyam signed on behalf of the Government, while Managing Director Hassan Ibrahim represented 3 Way Enterprises.

The project includes the construction of a cold storage facility, the establishment of a fish processing plant, and the development of a modern fishing port in Kandholhudhoo. The Ministry has not disclosed any further details regarding the contract's value or duration.

According to the Ministry of Fisheries and Ocean Resources, the project is expected to create new income-generating opportunities for residents of Dhuvaafaru, many of whom have long-standing historical and economic ties to Kandholhudhoo.
