Bank of Maldives (BML) has welcomed a new intake of interns under its annual internship programme at a special ceremony held recently.

A total of 25 interns were selected for this year’s programme, comprising graduate interns and participants under the newly introduced Techstart category. The Techstart stream has been designed specifically for IT students, providing them with specialised learning and practical exposure in the banking sector.

The 12-month internship programme offers participants hands-on experience across various business units and branch operations of the Bank, along with a monthly allowance.

At the ceremony, BML also recognised interns who completed the 2024 internship programme. Several of the graduates were offered permanent positions at the Bank, reflecting the programme’s role in nurturing future talent.

Launched in 2018, the Bank of Maldives Internship Programme has supported a total of 77 interns to date, contributing to skills development and career pathways for young Maldivians.
