The newly built, Government funded mosque in Maradhoo, Addu City, has been officially opened.

The mosque was inaugurated by State Minister for Islamic Affairs Uz Abdul Azeez Jamaal Aboobakur at a ceremony held prior to Friday prayers.

Built with Government funding, the mosque has a capacity to accommodate up to 500 worshippers and has been named Masjid Al-Rayyan.

Following the inauguration, State Minister Uz Abdul Azeez Jamaal Aboobakur delivered the Friday sermon at the mosque.
