The Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts has announced that several newly released Dhivehi films will be screened free of charge at the Youth Hub this weekend.

The film screenings are scheduled to take place on 15, 16 and 18 January. The Dhivehi film “Alifaan” is scheduled to be screened on Thursday night, followed by “Alvadhaau” on Friday, 16 January. “Fureytha” will be screened on Saturday, 17 January.

The ministry said all three films are restricted to audiences aged 18 and above. Screenings at the Youth Hub will be open to the public at no cost.

The Youth Hub, a Government-established Youth Third Space, was inaugurated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on 20 November 2025. The facility is located on Lily Magu, in the building previously used as the Muliaage vehicle garage.

The Youth Hub is designed to host a wide range of programmes aimed at empowering young people and supporting their personal development. Services offered at the centre include youth counselling, wellbeing support, recreational activities, and various skill development programmes focused on enhancing both physical and mental wellbeing.
