President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has declared Sunday, 24 May 2026 and Monday, 25 May 2026 as Government holidays.

The decision was announced on Tuesday in connection with the upcoming Eid al-Adha holidays.

The President’s Office said the additional holidays were arranged to allow Government employees to spend more uninterrupted time with their families during the Eid period by extending the holiday break.

Government offices are scheduled to reopen on Sunday, 31 May 2026.
