The Maldives Hajj Corporation (MHC) has announced the flight schedule for Maldivian pilgrims departing for Hajj this year, with four flights planned across two airlines.

Half of the pilgrims will be transported by Saudi Airlines, while the remaining 50 per cent will travel aboard the national carrier, Maldivian. The departure schedule is as follows:

  • Flight 1: 15 May at 15:25 — operated by Saudi Airlines
  •  Flight 2: 17 May at 07:10 — operated by Maldivian
  • Flight 3: 18 May at 15:25 — operated by Saudi Airlines
  • Flight 4: 19 May at 09:45 — operated by Maldivian

The MHC said it is working to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims this year. Arrangements at the tents in Mina are being upgraded, and essential services are being provided to the highest possible standard. The Hajj Mission is currently finalising preparations ahead of the pilgrims' departure for Mecca and has already visited the hotel where pilgrims will be accommodated.

The Maldives receives an annual Hajj quota of 1,000 places, which includes those travelling to provide support services to the pilgrims.
