The People’s National Congress (PNC) has officially launched its door-to-door campaign for the upcoming Local Council Elections and Women’s Development Committee elections in Malé area.

The campaign was inaugurated at a ceremony held at the People’s National Congress (PNC) headquarters today, with the participation of several Cabinet ministers, party leaders and election candidates.

As part of its preparations for the council elections, PNC has strengthened its organisational presence in the capital. The party recently opened a four-storey official office in Malé, which was inaugurated by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu. Campaign offices have also been opened in Villimalé and Hulhumalé.

Addressing the launch ceremony, PNC Parliamentary Group Leader and campaign manager for the elections, Ibrahim Falah, called for campaign activities to be conducted nationwide. He stated that the decentralisation system has been implemented most comprehensively under President Dr Muizzu’s Administration, describing him as a President who has worked closely with communities across the country.

Falah added that the President has instructed candidates to engage directly with citizens through door-to-door campaigning, noting that issues and proposals raised by the public would be addressed through the Government’s mechanisms.

The door-to-door campaign represents a key phase of PNC’s election efforts as the party mobilises candidates and supporters ahead of the Council Elections.
