Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef presented the championship trophy and medals to the winners of the Women’s Division of the Beefaan 2026 Volleyball Tournament during the closing ceremony.

The final match saw Fuvahmulah-based Ekuveri Funaad face the Fiyoaree Volleyball Team, with Ekuveri Funaad securing the title after a three sets to one victory at the Fiyoaree Volleyball Court in Gaafu Dhaalu Atoll.

Vice President Uz Latheef was welcomed by President of the Fiyoaree Island Council Faizar Rasheed and Hussain Fayaz, President of the Fiyoaree Association for Community Empowerment (FACE). He was also accompanied by Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Dr Abdulla Muththalib.

The Beefaan 2026 Volleyball Tournament was initiated by the Fiyoaree Island Council and organised by Fiyoaree Association for Community Empowerment - FACE. The women’s final marked the conclusion of the Women’s Division, with the Men’s Division final scheduled to be held on 23 January.
