The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has handed over land allotments to an additional 41 beneficiaries under the Binveriya Scheme in Gulhifalhu.

The process of handing over land to successful applicants under the scheme began in September last year and is continuing in phases. In a statement shared on social media, the Ministry confirmed that land plots were handed over to 41 beneficiaries on Thursday.

The Ministry stated that efforts are underway to allocate land to all eligible beneficiaries as soon as possible.

Revisions to the land use plan have enabled a larger area to be designated for social housing in Gulhifalhu. In addition to residential plots, land has been earmarked for the development of essential services to support future residents. Designated areas include sites for schools, healthcare facilities, industrial activities and city hotel development.

Public social spaces, open squares and parks will also be developed to create a liveable and pleasant environment for those relocating to the area under the scheme.
