Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef has conveyed greetings and best wishes to the Governments and people of India and Australia on the occasions of India’s 77th Republic Day and Australia Day, reaffirming the Maldives’ commitment to maintaining close and cooperative relations with both countries.

In a post shared on 'X', the Vice President extended Republic Day greetings to Vice President of India Shri C. P. Radhakrishnan, as well as to the Government and people of India. He noted that India’s constitutional journey as a republic holds inspirational lessons for other countries.

The Vice President highlighted the long-standing cooperation between the Maldives and India on issues of mutual concern, stating that the close relationship continues to benefit the people of both countries. He also expressed hope that the current level of cooperation between the two nations would further strengthen in the future, while wishing the people of India peace, progress and prosperity.

In a separate post, Vice President Uz Latheef conveyed Australia Day greetings to the Government and people of Australia, extending best wishes for the country’s continued progress and prosperity. He also expressed hope for continued close collaboration between the Maldives and Australia for the mutual benefit of both countries.
