The Ministry of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure has opened the process for agreement signing and land registry acceptance for plots allocated under Hulhumalé Phase III.

Following revisions to the Phase III Master Plan, plots were redetermined on 20 December 2025, resulting in the allocation of 698 plots. These include:

  • 181 plots of 1,650 sq ft
  • 242 plots of 2,050 sq ft
  • 132 plots of 2,450 sq ft
  • 62 plots of 2,850 sq ft
  • 41 plots of 3,250 sq ft
  • 16 plots of 3,650 sq ft
  • 24 plots of 4,000 sq ft

Applications for agreement signing and registry acceptance must be submitted through the Hiyaavahi Portal before 15 March. Applicants will be notified of their appointment details, including time and venue, via the portal and SMS.

The Ministry explained that the initial plot allocation did not fully account for basic land use requirements, prompting revisions to the master plan. Once agreements are signed, the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) will take over the land allocation process.

Land reclamation works for the Phase III allocation area were completed on 24 January, with 63 hectares of land reclaimed as part of the third phase of the Hulhumalé development project.
