Visit Maldives launches SeaSational Summer digital campaign

Visit Maldives has launched SeaSational Summer, a digital-led campaign aimed at promoting the Maldives as a summer travel destination.
The campaign was introduced during the Visit Maldives Quarterly Insights – Maldives Tourism Intelligence Briefing held on 2 February 2026. The briefing brought together tourism industry stakeholders and marketing professionals.
Visit Maldives said the campaign is based on global travel research, market analysis and digital behaviour data. The initiative is intended to align tourism-sector efforts under a single seasonal framework, rather than through individual or short-term promotional activities.
SeaSational Summer focuses on presenting the summer period as an organised national season supported by events, experiences and activities taking place across the country.
The campaign will run from February through August and will rely primarily on sustained digital engagement. Visit Maldives stated that research into international travel trends shows digital platforms, including social media and video channels, play a key role in shaping travel interest, while official destination channels help validate travel timing and feasibility, particularly for long-haul markets.
As part of the initiative, the Visit Maldives Events Calendar has been incorporated into the SeaSational Summer framework. The calendar is intended to provide information on scheduled events and activities throughout the summer period.
Visit Maldives also confirmed that SeaSational Summer branding will be integrated into its existing international marketing placements. This includes LED perimeter advertising at Anfield Stadium, where SeaSational Summer branding will be displayed during the Premier League match between Liverpool FC and Manchester City.
