Education Minister Dr Ismail Shafeeu addressed the crucial role that the Maldives Police Service plays in ensuring the country's prosperity and security.

Speaking at the graduation ceremony of the 37th Police Initial Training Course, the minister underscored the importance of police efforts in reducing crime, supporting citizens, and guiding youth away from criminal activities.

The minister commended the police for their consistent presence during societal challenges and encouraged them to maximise the skills acquired during their training to serve the community effectively.

He also emphasised the need for police officers to maintain the trust of the public, highlighting that personnel are stationed across more than 140 islands in the Maldives, reflecting the force's widespread commitment to public service.
