Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusaan has stated that 11 police infrastructure projects are scheduled to be completed by the end of March, as part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to expand policing services across the Maldives.

Speaking at a press conference held at the President’s Office, the minister said a total of 153 police infrastructure projects are currently being developed under a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening police services.

Minister Ihusaan said that most of the projects involve the construction of new police stations and police posts, while some also focus on expanding and upgrading existing police facilities in various islands.

The minister noted that two of the projects initiated by the current Administration have already been completed and brought into service, while 11 additional facilities are expected to be completed by the end of the first quarter of this year.
