Maldivian partners with Ananthapuri Hospital to assist medical travellers

The national airline Maldivian has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ananthapuri Hospital and Research Institute in Thiruvananthapuram, India, aimed at providing additional benefits and support services for Maldivians travelling for medical treatment.

Under the agreement, passengers travelling to Thiruvananthapuram on Maldivian will receive special medical assistance and service benefits from Ananthapuri Hospital.

These benefits include special discounts on inpatient and outpatient treatment, a 15 per cent discount on health check-up packages, and a 10 per cent discount on laboratory tests and radiology services. The hospital will also provide free ambulance services from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport to the hospital.

According to Maldivian, a dedicated customer care desk will also be established at the hospital to assist Maldivian passengers with appointments and other support services.

The airline added that interpretation assistance will also be provided to help elderly patients and those seeking treatment for serious illnesses communicate more easily with doctors.

The services introduced under the agreement will be available to all passengers travelling to Thiruvananthapuram via Maldivian. The initiative is intended to improve access to healthcare services for Maldivian travellers.
