The Parliament has referred the appointment of Non-Resident Ambassadors to five foreign countries to the Foreign Relations Committee for review.

The nominations were submitted to Parliament by President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.

The proposed appointments are as follows:

• Argentina – Dr Ali Naseer Mohamed, Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations

• Cambodia – Mariyam Midhfa Naeem

• Vietnam – Mariyam Midhfa Naeem

• Greece – Hassan Adam

• Bosnia and Herzegovina – Aishath Shaan Shakir, Ambassador of the Maldives to Germany

Following approval at Parliament, the appointments have been forwarded to the Foreign Relations Committee for further review.
