President Dr Mohamed Muizzu joined the door-to-door campaign organised by the People’s National Congress (PNC) in Malé City’s North Henveiru constituency ahead of the upcoming Local Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC) elections.
During the campaign, the President visited several households in the area, meeting residents and inquiring about their well-being. He also listened to concerns raised by residents and shared the Government’s vision and policy priorities with the public.
Additionally, President Dr Muizzu greeted members of the public on the streets and heard their concerns. He assured residents that the Government would take the necessary steps to address the issues raised.
Major General (Retired) Moosa Ali Jaleel, who is contesting for the position of Mayor of Malé City, accompanied the President during the campaign. Ashiyath Alaika Adnan, who is contesting for the presidency of the Women’s Development Committee in the Malé area, along with other candidates from the constituency, were also present. Cabinet Ministers and senior figures from the party leadership also took part in the campaign activities.
The PNC continues to conduct campaign activities nationwide ahead of the elections. So far, the party has secured several uncontested seats, including 28 council seats and 41 Women’s Development Committee seats, bringing the total to 69 seats won without a vote.
