German airline Condor has announced the resumption of its seasonal flights to the Maldives for the summer period.
Under its 2026 long-haul schedule, the airline will operate flights from Frankfurt to Velana International Airport four times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.
The airline stated that the operations will run from early May until the end of October.
Germany remains one of the Maldives’ key tourism markets, and the airline expressed confidence that the resumption of these flights will help drive an increase in visitor arrivals. As of 16 March, more than 35,000 tourists from Germany had visited the Maldives this year.
The resumption of direct flights comes as global aviation continues to adjust to operational challenges, particularly in the Middle East. Several international airlines have also announced plans to increase services to the Maldives, as travellers seek alternative transit routes amid ongoing disruptions in the region.
