Maldives Airports Company Limited (MACL) has recognised outstanding academic achievement by presenting its Merit Awards to four students from the Centre for Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).

The awards, presented on 2 April 2026, as part of MACL’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, aimed at promoting academic excellence and nurturing capable young leaders. The Merit Award is granted annually to the top-performing students completing Grade 11 at CHSE, with recipients comprising two female and two male students selected by the institution.

This year’s awards were presented during a special assembly held at CHSE, officiated by MACL General Manager Ali Huzaim. The recipients of the 2026 MACL Merit Award are Azwad Zahid Hameed, Eezaan Ali, Hamdha Ahmed Shiham, and Aishath Naureen Hamdhee.

Each recipient will receive a laptop and a Wi-Fi device, along with a one-year data package and a monthly allowance, providing both recognition and practical support for their continued academic journey.

In addition to the Merit Award, MACL has been awarding cash prizes to CHSE’s Best All-Round students since 2023. Through these initiatives, the company continues to support schools across the Maldives by providing resources and various forms of assistance, reinforcing its commitment to empowering youth and contributing to national development.
