Ahmed Mohamed brings more than 30 years of experience in policing, having joined the Maldives Police Service in 1995. Throughout his career, he has held senior roles in both operational and investigative departments, gaining extensive experience across key areas of law enforcement.

In addition to his professional experience, Ahmed has completed specialised training at the Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel National Police Academy in India, including the IPS Probationers’ Basic Training Course and other advanced programmes designed for senior officers.

He also holds a Master of Sharia and a Bachelor of Sharia (Honours) from Villa College.

The Maldives Police Service stated that it will continue to provide full support and cooperation to the new Commissioner in carrying out his responsibilities.
