The People’s National Congress (PNC) has appointed Uz Mohamed Firuzul Abdulla Haleel as its spokesperson.

The party announced the appointment on Friday, stating that Firuzul will represent the PNC in its official communications. Members of the party also welcomed him to the role.

Firuzul previously served as an Under Secretary at the President’s Office and served as the transitional spokesperson to President Dr Mohamed Muizzu following the presidential election.

He most recently acted as the PNC’s spokesperson during the concluded Local Council elections.
