President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed condolences following the passing of National Award recipient Ali Zubair.

In a message shared on X following his passing, the President noted that Ali Zubair had dedicated more than 43 years and 11 months to public service, including many years in municipal work within Malé City.

The President stated that during the period they worked together, Ali Zubair demonstrated dedication, sincerity and professionalism in carrying out his duties. He also recalled the advice, support and cooperation he consistently extended over the years.

President Dr Muizzu conveyed condolences to the bereaved family, the people of Malé and staff of the Malé City Council.

He also prayed for Allah’s mercy and forgiveness upon the late Ali Zubair and for him to be granted paradise.
