Vice President Uz Hussain Mohamed Latheef has arrived for Kulhudhuffushi City this morning, accompanied by a high-level government delegation, to inaugurate the "Hashiheyo Raajje" programme—a nationwide sports development initiative.

This programme, launched by the Ministry of Sports, Fitness, and Recreation, is designed as part of the government’s 14-week pledge to strengthen sports training across the Maldives and nurture future athletic talent.

As a key element of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s commitment to human resource development, "Hashiheyo Raajje" will be overseen by leaders trained through the “Leading Leaders” initiative, which began on November 4 and prepares coaches and administrators for the programme’s six designated zones.

The initiative underscores a long-term vision for sports excellence, aiming to develop a new generation of athletes through structured training and dedicated support across the nation.
