Bank of Maldives (BML) has announced a five-day closure during the New Year period.

According to a statement shared on social media platforms, BML will suspend operations at all service centres, branches, and head offices from Monday, 31 December 2024, to Saturday, 4 January 2025. Normal services will resume on Sunday, 5 January 2025.

The temporary closure aligns with the annual practice of banks closing at year-end to finalise financial records and prepare for the new year.

Despite the shutdown of its offices, BML has assured customers that essential banking services will remain accessible via ATMs, internet banking, and its call centres throughout the period.
