Maldives Minister for Climate Change, Environment, and Energy Thoriq Ibrahim, has travelled to Baku for COP29, where the country will lead four major events on climate action, including discussions on renewable energy and coral reef conservation. The Maldives also aims to highlight the challenges faced by small island states and advocate for financial support to combat climate change. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu is set to deliver a speech, with youth perspectives on environmental issues being presented at the summit.
