President Dr Muizzu places great priority on technology: Dr Kinanath

Minister of State for Homeland Security and Technology, Dr Kinanath, has credited President Dr Mohamed Muizzu as the only leader in recent times to prioritise technology.
Speaking about the President's official visit to Estonia, Dr Kinanath explained that the President has consistently emphasised the importance of technology both domestically and internationally. In his manifesto, the President also outlined key technological initiatives.
Dr. Kinanath highlighted that the National Centre for Information Technology (NCIT) has formulated a strategic action plan that integrates the technological objectives outlined in the President's manifesto alongside his public commitments. The plan is scheduled for phased implementation in the coming years.
The State Minister emphasised that the tech industry has embraced the President's focus on technology. He noted that the upcoming visit to Estonia is anticipated to be a historic milestone, with discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation.
The key areas of collaboration will include digital, cyber, and e-governance, climate change, environmental sustainability, and joint efforts in science and education.
During the visit, the President will also explore Estonia's progress in the field of innovation and technology and participate in a roundtable meeting organised by Estonia's Digital Advisory Council, which advises the President of Estonia.
