The Parliament Member for West Maafannu constituency, Mohamed Musthafa Ibrahim, has expressed concern about the previous five years of governance, describing it as a challenging period for the people of the Maldives.

Speaking on MMTV Bodu Khabaru programme, MP Musthafa stated that the first term of the Maldivian Democratic Party’s (MDP) government was more favourable compared to its most recent term.

He noted that the decisions made during the last five years had a significant impact on the people, adding that they reflected some of the most unwise actions taken by a leadership in the history of the Maldives.

Reflecting on the sentiments of the public, MP Musthafa remarked that many Maldivians feel let down by the MDP government and are now looking towards alternative leadership. He highlighted the positive reception of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu’s efforts over the past year, noting that his initiatives have been well-received by the people.
