President Muizzu has stated that his Administration will focus on people-first governance and development initiatives while addressing R. Innamaadhoo residents on Wednesday evening.

He emphasised that addressing the housing shortage would be a key priority in the 2025 budget, pledging to launch a 50-unit housing development once the Council designates the necessary land.

While highlighting that education and healthcare are the next major priorities in the State budget after housing, President Dr Muizzu assured residents that local island needs would be addressed. In particular, he acknowledged the importance of expanding Innamaadhoo's harbour and promised to accelerate this project.

The President committed to enhancing education and healthcare services this year, promising to reduce waiting times and improve overall service delivery in response to citizen feedback.

Additionally, President Dr Muizzu pledged to tackle various infrastructure challenges, including erosion control, water and sewerage systems, and road development. He noted that the budget for this year and next would prioritise projects benefiting young people.
