The Business Center Corporation (BCC) has signed an agreement with Fuvahmulah City Council to establish a creator hub in the city.

The agreement was signed by BCC Managing Director Ibrahim Ziyau Mohamed and Fuvahmulah City Mayor Ismail Rafeeq, with the hub set to be located on the first floor of the city’s local market.

Aligned with President’s vision for a thriving creative economy, and following Cabinet recommendations, this initiative aims to support artists and creative professionals across the Maldives. In addition to the hub in Malé, the BCC plans to establish similar hubs in various atolls to foster creativity and innovation nationwide.

MD Ziyau emphasised that the provincial hubs would play a key role in advancing the development of a skilled economy in the Maldives. He noted that by creating more opportunities for professionals, the initiative seeks to address the challenges they currently face.

BCC is actively engaging with artists and professionals through creative confluences in different cities and islands to ensure the hubs cater to their needs. The construction of the main Creator Hub building in Malé is already underway, and plans are in place to expand the initiative across the country, further strengthening the creative economy.
