President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has appointed Ahmed Nashid and Abdulla Nashid as members of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) of the Maldives. 

The appointments were formalised during a ceremony held this morning.

Ahmed Nashid, a former Assistant Commissioner of Police, previously served as a member of the Police Board, contributing to law enforcement oversight. Abdulla Nashid holds a Master’s degree in Education with a focus on School Management from the Regional Institute of Education in India and has held managerial roles in various departments of Aasandha Company.

The two members officially assumed their roles after taking their oaths in the presence of Supreme Court Justice Uz Mahaz Ali Zahir. President Dr Muizzu handed over their letters of appointment during the ceremony.
